Did the groundhog see his shadow? Punxsutawney Phil did indeed
see his shadow on Groundhog Day, February
2, 2012. Many people who were waiting for Phil's prediction from Gobbler's Knob
were disappointed to learn that there may be six more weeks of winter.
I looked out my window this morning to see if the sun was shining enough for a groundhog to see his shadow and I’m happy to report I don’t think he could so maybe we are
in for a mild, short winter. A good rain would bring spring flowers!
February is also the month for love and caring, making it a
great month to join Friends and show your love for the library. It’s also a
good time if you are a member of Friends and are looking for a great gift for a
friend for Valentine’s Day! Visit the library and buy them a membership or a
used book to read. Treat yourself to a good read!
The Bookstore is open during regular library hours. Hardback
books sell for $3.00, paperbacks $1.00, DVD-VHS $1.00.
Single memberships are $10.00 and a family can join for $20.00.
