Summer Teen Program

The Teen Summer Program was a huge success. Twenty-five programs were held. Teens read 110 books with a total of 33,731 pages. Included in the group was a teen from St. Louis.
I sent out a survey at the end of the program and was pleased with the responses. Many commented about the new friends they made. Some were excited about the “There ain't no fish bait here” cooking day (Added new this year). One suggested they choose the foods to cook. We made homemade ice cream, muffins, pizza, waffle people with bacon (I was surprised how many teens had never cooked bacon) and other goodies. We celebrated birthdays and even held an unbirthday for those whose birthdays were not during the program.
We have some GREAT teens in our program. I hope the FRIENDS will have opportunities to work with them.
